What's Happening at the Arc of Frederick County
Cultivating future leaders, The Arc is grateful to have the support of the YMCA of Frederick County and United Way of Frederick County Summer Serve students to host activities for people we serve. These teens have grown up in a world of inclusion where they have attended school, extracurricular activities, places of worship, playgrounds, and other spaces side-by-side with students with disabilities. As friendships have blossomed, it is these young minds who will carry inclusion into adulthood and further respect for diveristy. We thank The Summer Serve students for their passion for community!
The Arc was proud to partner with Pathfinders for Autism and Frederick County Sheriff's Office, MD - Integrity Driven • Community Built to support over 80 people with participating in mock traffic stops and learning more about safety and community inclusion. The Arc is grateful to all first responders who help keep our communities thriving and welcoming!
Thinking about the future when you care for a dependent with a disability can feel overwhelming, but you're not alone! Join Corby and Lisa at the Brunswick Library this Sunday, July 19th at 2:00pm, where they will answer your questions and share helpful information on preparing a Letter of Intent.
