Our Mission
The Arc of Frederick County helps people with developmental disabilities to live enviable lives.
Enviable lives are the lives we all lead, filled with purpose and meaning, and with friends and family. This is accomplished by providing services, advocacy, and creating supportive communities.

What's Happening at the Arc of Frederick County
Cultivating the leaders of tomorrow, The Arc partners with student volunteers to enhance our services and equip them with skills they can use to increase inclusion in their social circles today! The Arc thanks our volunteer from TJ High School who is teaching the art of henna in progressive weekly classes beginning with how to mix and prepare henna, followed by learning application techniques, and experimenting with various designs.
The Arc values the creativity of our Direct Support Professionals who share their skills and talents to enrich the lives of people we serve. We appreciate their energy and enthusiasm as they blend creativity and a splash of color to add some summer sparkle and fun to the lives of people they support at home, work, and in their communities!
The Arc is happy to announce our Fall 2026 Parents' Day Out and Super Sibshop dates. Parents' Day Out provides FREE respite care to children with disabilities and their siblings and Super Sibshops brings brothers and sisters of children with disabilities together for fun activities and times of sharing! To meet the needs of participants, registration is required. Please contact Brianna at bhand-solomon@arcfc.org to register for PDO, and Qionna at qirby@arcfc.org to register for Super Sibshops!
