The Arc of Frederick County's 27th Annual Trivia Playoff!

Play begins at 6:30 pm (registration begins at 5:45)

This year we're back at the Independent Hose Company, 310 Baughmans Lane, Frederick

Download the event brochure and registration form.

There are many ways to participate in this popular and fun event.  You can be part of a 3-person team to participate in the playoff.  You or your business can sponsor a table or buy an ad in the program.  Or you can attend as a spectator to cheer on the teams.

In addition to the friendly trivia competition, there is a silent auction, substantial snack buffet, raffle, and lots of fun!  This is one of The Arc's biggest fundraisers of the year -- all money raised will help us provide support to people with developmental disabilities in Frederick County.

For more information, contact Shauna Clay at 301-663-0909 x40 or SClay@arcfc.org.

Hope to see you there!

The Autism Parent Support Group

Third Monday of every month, 7:00 pm, at The Arc of Frederick County.

If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact (301)746-8080 to confirm meeting date and time.

Parents Support Group

The Parent's Support Group meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 11:30am - 1:00 pm. The group usually meets at a local restaurant to enjoy a social lunch together, sharing in conversation where stories of successes and struggles can be expressed within a group of parents who can really relate to each other. They share ideas on different topics and offer support to one another. This is a casual group setting where parents are involved in the decisions about the group.

If you are interested in joining the Parent's Group, contact Amy at The Arc at 301-663-0909 Extension 29. Amy can put you on the mailing list to receive monthly flyers with the information for each meeting.

Transitioning Youth Parent Support Group

The final years of high school are critical to securing supports and funding that will help transitioning youth students for the rest of their lives.  The Arc of Frederick County hosts a Parent Support Group for parents of transitioning high school students with developmental disabilities.

The group focuses on educational support, connecting students to work and other adult resources, meeting deadlines to access benefits, and brainstorming, sharing, and expanding parent knowledge of what is offered during and after high school.  During the parent meeting, students can participate in a variety of social activities.

Meetings are held once a month at The Arc.  Contact Karen Wiese at 301-663-0909 or KWiese@arcfc.org for meeting dates and other information about this support group.
